WWTP Chihuahua Norte: Wastewater Solution for the City of Chihuahua

Introduction

The Wastewater Treatment Plant “Chihuahua Norte” treats 20% of the wastewater from the Chihuahua metropolitan area, equivalent to 202,000 people. This project operates under a BOT scheme that considers the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the project for 15 years.

The main processes include: pretreatment, primary treatment, biological treatment, sludge treatment, anaerobic digestion and sludge dewatering.
