WWTP Chihuahua Sur: Big Wastewater Solution for the City of Chihuahua

Introduction

The Wastewater Treatment Plant “Chihuahua Sur” treats 60% of the wastewater from the Chihuahua metropolitan area, equivalent to 606,000 people. This project operates under a BOT scheme, which considers the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the project for 10 years.

The main processes include: pretreatment, primary treatment, biological treatment, sludge treatment, anaerobic digestion and sludge dewatering.
